July 20th - from Long Tall Sally - Women's Leather Chelsea Boots to size UK13
Since they started to stock up to plus size 24 in clothing some time ago, I've featured Long Tall Sally products several times. As the first dedicated retailer to sell to tall girls 5' 8" plus in height, they quickly became the "go to" for the styles and cut tall women need - longer back length, longer arms, longer leg lengths. The natural progression was to cater for larger feet. They now stock a very complete and trendy range of clothing, accessories and footwear.
As well as plus size 24 clothes, footwear is stocked from sizes UK7 to UK13 ( and trousers leg lengths are available from 34" to 38" )
Today I am blogging about these fabulous leather chelsea ankle boots. They are available in tan (see photo) and also in black. They have a lowish 1 1/2" block heel (3.5cm) and are very easy to take off and put on because of the side elasticated panels.
Last winter chelsea boots were a firm fashion favourite, and will continue to be as popular this Autumn/Winter (especially if worn as part of the BoHo trend of suede and sheepskin clothing and accompanying Hobo bags). Their popularity is to do with versatility, - not only are these the ideal flatter boots to wear with jeans and trousers, but they also go well with a suitable skirt or casual dress too.
I'll admit to having a couple of pairs of this style of boots as I find them comfortable to wear, dressy, fashionable, and very easy to slip on and off. I travel quite a bit with my modelling job and, because of they're so easy to remove and put on at airport security, I have made chelsea boots my "travelling footwear". I also love them for their all day comfort and I wear them with jeans, skirts & dresses (saving on hand luggage space by not having to carry other footwear) - and they are so much smarter looking than trainers.
Get a close-up look at the boots and hear what I have to say about them by clicking the short YouTube video below.
Until next time.
July 13th - Mother of the Bride OR Wedding Guest ? Beautiful House of Fraser dress available up to size UK26
I am 5' 9" tall and above I am pictured in size UK18 which I find very comfortable. (please play the video and you'll see just how nice this dress is to walk in and wear).
I love the dress for several reasons, which I've detailed below, and highly recommend it for a formal daywear occasion such as a Wedding;-
1. The dress is a traditional Mother of the Bride pale blue;
2. The cut and style is neat but flattering for a larger lady (particularly if, like me, you have a wider middle) due to the structured panel detailing;
3. The gold bar feature at the scoop neckline means you do not need necklaces or pendants;
4. The 'modest' length makes it suitable for formal daywear occasion such as a wedding or student's graduation;
And lastly the shoulder structure, falling to a half sleeve, makes the dress ideal to wear with a big wide hat or, in cooler weather, suitable to wear along with a pashmina/shawl or open front jacket.
If wearing this dress as Mother of the Bride, rather than a Guest, I'd be inclined to wear a wide rimmed hat or large hatinator. If you are petite I'd suggest a hatinator rather than a very full and wide rimmed hat as you do not want your hat 'over-powering' your look.

July 6th - Layered Jersey Top in Crushed Berry
NOW £48 IN THE UP TO 50% OFF SALE AT CELTIC & CO
This is my final blog in this short series for Celtic & Co. Today I am reviewing a long sleeved layered top from their Spring Summer 2015 Collection. This whole Collection says Lazy Sunday, Relaxed, Quality and Down Time, in my opinion.
Today's jersey is yet another quality piece of easy to wear relaxation. I chose this particular top for several reasons
a. It is the ideal pull on with jeans, linen trousers or a skirt, with a nice long 66cm back;
b. It has the layered inset (which matches linen beautifully) and lifts the otherwise plainness of a simple jersey long sleeved top, and I like the long sleeves for extra warmth later on in the year, and for insect/midge protection if walking in leafy surroundings;
c. The crushed berry colour goes with practically everything. This colour has a browny/bluey tinge which blends well with browns, denim blues, beige/natural coloured linens, and blacks;
d. It has a wool mix combination making it a heavier feel and also warmer than a standard long sleeved cotton tee.
e. It goes well under my Celtic and Co. cable boyfriend cardigan (see photo below);
g. It is also an ideal layering device to wear under waistcoats or with a simple linen mix scarf;

July 4th Aran Cable Boyfriend Cardigan from Celtic & Co
In case you are new to reading my blog, I'm repeating what I said last week about Celtic & Co to start this post. They are a British Company based in Cornwall, England and are most famous for their handmade sheepskin footwear, which they make at their factory. They also supply clothing items and accessories sourced mainly from British Isles based manufacturers (with some items coming from continental Europe). Where possible they aim to provide products made from natural materials. You will find that their accessories will compliment their clothing items and a purchase this season will carry you through to next and subsequent years.
I am (video) blogging with my favourite picks from their Spring Summer 2015 Collection. Today's blog is this lovely 100% merino wool cable boyfriend cardigan which has been made in Ireland.
I love dressing casual so it's great when retailers ask me to review casual items.
This is a gorgeous long cardigan (87 cm from shoulder to hemline) knit in 100% merino wool with a natural fleck. The style is typically Irish with the Aran cables. This is a multi-seasonal cardigan - an easy 'pull on' to take you out and about in both the cooler evenings of Summer and Autumn, and the colder days of Winter & Spring
I love the long body and the deep V Neck. I am wearing size L (UK16 - 18) and the fit is very comfortable. In the photo I am wearing the cardigan buttoned to show off the traditional Aran style buttons and the front pockets, but I know that I will wear this cardigan open with big scarf treatments - Linen scarves for Summer and wool and tweed heavy weight scarves for the Autumn and Winter.
